What Rastep covers

Rastep covers day hikes, everyday walks, walking footwear, clothing, backpacks and equipment care. The articles explain selection criteria and processes for different situations.

Reading the articles

The articles provide general editorial guidance. They are not reports of our own product testing. For specific decisions, follow manufacturer instructions, current weather information and local trail closures. Linked specialist sources offer further reading.

Photographs and identified AI-generated images illustrate an object or situation. They do not document a product test or endorse a pictured model or particular route.
